Moss on roof surfaces causes real structural damage by trapping moisture against the roofing material, lifting shingle edges, and accelerating deterioration. The Damage Moss Actually Causes

Step 1: Apply a Moss Killer
Mix a cleaning solution using one of these formulas:
- DIY solution: 50/50 mix of household bleach (sodium hypochlorite) and water in a pump sprayer. Add a quarter cup of dish soap per gallon to help it stick.
