How It Works

Inside the unit sit a compressor, a coil, a fan, and a reversing valve. Using refrigerant such as R-32 or R-290, the compressor drives the refrigerant through a cycle that absorbs heat on one side and releases it on the other. The reversing valve decides direction: in summer it dumps room heat outside through the exhaust hose; in the shoulder seasons it captures outdoor heat and pushes it into the room.
