Stepping Stones Garden: Design and Installation Done Right

A stepping stone path costs a fraction of a poured concrete walkway and looks better in most garden settings. Step-by-Step Installation

Outline each stone with marking paint or a knife scored into the turf. Set the first stone on the ground and trace around it with the spade. The hole should be about 2 inches larger than the stone in every direction.
