Installation Timeline: What to Expect
A straightforward like-for-like electric mini-tank swap is a two-hour job. A full gas condensing retrofit is a different animal. Budget most of a day: the plumber has to mount the unit on the wall, run new gas and possibly upsize the line, install the two-pipe venting through an exterior wall or roof, plumb the condensate drain and neutralizer, set the isolation valves, and pressure-test everything before the inspector signs off.
